The State Disaster Management Authority of Himachal Pradesh said that landslide monitoring centers are active in 21 in the state. This has increased concern about the monsoon alert and disaster preparation. The number of people who lost their lives in accidents due to rain in Himachal increased to 229. Public infrastructure has been badly affected across the state. In the last 24 hours, 395 roads, 669 transformers and 529 water supply schemes have been disrupted. At the same time, with the help of Ground Penetrating radar (GPR) in Dharali, Uttarakhand, 20 places with about three meters have been identified where people can be trapped. The expert team of the National Geological Research Institute is helping to locate 66 people missing after cloudburst in Dharali. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a threat of high-level floods around 11 districts of the state in the next 24 hours. Due to this, the journey of Kedarnath, Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib has been postponed till 14 August. All schools were closed after heavy rains in Rajouri, Reasi and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Reasi recorded the highest 284 mm rainfall. The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in many parts of Jammu division till August 15.
