Union Minister Manohar Lal visited Banatara in Gujarat along with CM Naib Saini and Forest Minister Rao Narbir regarding the project.
Naib Sarkar of Haryana is seen on the backfoot on the dream project of Manohar Lal Khatter, who was the Chief Minister of Haryana for 9 and a half years. This dream project is the world’s largest forest, which is built on 10,000 acres in the Aravalli hills. Make this project
,
Recently, he visited Vantara in Gujarat along with CM Naib Saini and Forest and Environment Minister Rao Narbir. Earlier in the year 2022, he went to Sharjah (Dubai) cleaning tour. He was then accompanied by Union Forest and Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav.
After the visit to Vantara in Gujarat, the Haryana government is now seen on the backfoot regarding this project. Its big jungle is a big expense spent every month for making safari and then its operation. There is also a possibility that this project may be considered to be handed over to private hands on PPP mode. However, this has not been decided by the government.

These 3 big reasons for the government’s backfoot …
1. Expenditure of Rs 5000 crore to make The construction of a forest safari to be built in Aravalli in Gurugram, Haryana is estimated to cost about 5000 crore rupees. There is no Haryana government in the event of spending this amount. The reason for this is that no amount has been allocated in the budget of 2026-26. In such a situation, if the government puts a hand in this project, then difficulties may come.
2. Spend 100 crores on jungle safari every month According to the assessment of the Haryana government, the staff kept for the food and their maintenance of animals coming in the jungle safari will cost a monthly expenditure of about Rs 100 crore. Whereas in the early days from Jungle Safari, only 20 to 30 crore rupees are expected to come every month. Although this amount can increase to about 50 crores after six months, it is very difficult to have an income of 100 crores rupees.
3. Opposition should not make this jungle safari an issue The Haryana government fears that the opposition may make this jungle safari a big issue. The state has a loan of about 4 lakh crore rupees. If the government spends thousands of crores of rupees on jungle safari, then the opposition can make an issue. Former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda already continues to surround the government regarding debt. There was a lot of uproar in the Winter session of the assembly, which was clarified by CM Naib Saini himself in the House.

2. Home stay policy benefits people The government claims that the formation of Safari Park will help a lot in preserving the Aravalli mountain range. Along with employment for the local people, villagers in the surrounding villages will also benefit greatly under the Home Stay Policy.
3. Wildlife Corridor becomes Will be able to There is no national park in Aravali. If the jungle safari comes in this area, it will help protect the wildlife corridor from Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary in Delhi to Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary in Rajasthan.
4. The largest in Sharjah outside Africa Safari Currently after Africa, the largest forest is in Safari Sharjah, Dubai. It spreads over 200 acres and started in 2022. Whereas there is a plan to make forest safari in about 10 thousand acres in Aravalli.

About 3 years ago, Manohar Lal met Sarfuddin Saraf of Saraf Group in Dubai.
Some important points related to the project …
- When Manohar Lal Khatter announced this project, it was also said to get financial help from the central government for this. Two internationally experienced companies were done to shortlists to proceed on this project. These firms will participate in a design competition to finalize the master plan of the park.
- The project was earlier under the tourism department, but was later submitted to the Forest Department. However, due to opposition from environmentalists, the area can be reduced to less than 10 thousand acres in the first phase. Apart from this, the government will have to face challenges like water system and budget management.
- The Central Zoo Authority was asked to study this project. The authority has now submitted its report to the government. For this, land has been taken under the Indian Forest Act.
Forest Minister Narbir said- There is no situation to bear monthly expenses of jungle safari right now Forest and Environment Minister Rao Narbir said that the Haryana government is not in a position to bear the amount spent every month in Jungle Safari. It is difficult to make this project without the cooperation of the Center. In Vantara, Gujarat, we saw how much it costs every month.
