In the first interview, the responsibility of killing Mouswala was taken
Lawrence’s first interview was broadcast on 14 March 2023. In this, Lawrence had confessed to killing Sidhu Mosewala. Lawrence said that Muswala was entering the gang war instead of singing. His college friend Akali leader Vicky Middukheda also had a hand in the murder, so he got him killed. According to the SIT report, this is the same interview that he gave from CIA’s custody.
Proof of call from barrack in second interview
Lawrence also gave evidence of interviewing from inside the jail in his second interview. Lawrence said in his interview that the jail guards are very rare at night, so he calls at night.

Punjab’s DGP rejected claim
The Punjab Police was questioned after the gangster Lawrence interview was released. After this, DGP Gaurav Yadav of Punjab called a press conference. In which he claimed that the interview was not done from Bathinda or any jail in Punjab. DGP had shown 2 pictures of Lawrence and said- When Lawrence was brought to Bathinda Jail, his hair was severed and did not have a beard.
