Karnal: Danger in more than two dozen villages XEN Manoj Kumar of the canal department Karnal said that Yamuna in the district flows in about 70 km area and the water level is currently around 1.50 lakh cusecs. About two dozen villages are connected to Yamuna in Karnal district. Many villages including Gharaunda Malki’s Garhrral, Balheda, Mundogari, Sadarpur, Lalupura, Mangalura, Dilavara, Andheda, Dhakwala, Jammukhala, Chundipur, Niripar, Khirajpur and Mahmadpur have been settled on the banks of the river.
At the same time, other villages including Nabiabad, Japati Chhapra, Syed Chapra, Mosepur, Samaspur, Kalsaura, Nagli, Dera Halwana and Garhpur island are also connected to Yamuna. Sonipat: 150 acres of land and crop erosion DC Sushil Sarwan of Sonepat said that Yamuna flows from Gannaur to Delhi border for about 30 kilometers. The water level here has reached 3.30 lakh cusecs. About 30 villages from Gannaur to Delhi border are adjacent to the river, including Bega, Ghasoli, Pabnera, Gyaspur, Garhi, Mimarpur, Rasulpur, Bakhtawarpur, Pabsara, Manoli, Toki, Jagdishpur, Dahisra and Janti. Palwal: Crop standing in 5 thousand acres SDO Riyaz Ahmed said that Yamuna in Palwal district flows in an area of 45.2 km. On Tuesday evening, the water level reached 613 feet, while the danger mark is 615 feet. The water level is currently at 612.5 feet.

SDM Vishwanath said that land erosion has occurred in Mandewala, Kalesar, Nawazpura, island Kamalpur, Belgarh and Kalanaur. More than 100 acres of crops have been submerged and 50 acres of farming got into the river. The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the flood rescue preparations in the District Secretariat and directed the irrigation department, municipal corporation and PWD to drain water from the fields.
According to the irrigation department, the water level at Hathinikund barrage is now decreasing. 1,51,393 cusecs of water was released at 11 am on Tuesday morning, it reached 1,55,958 cusecs at 12 noon, remained 1,55,467 cusecs at 4 pm and fell to 1,42,024 cusecs at 6 pm.
