At the age of 18, in 2004, Bhagirath Singh Rathore, a resident of Sujangarh, Churu, joined the Army Technical. Trained at the Signal Training Center in Goa for two years. After this, he did duty on Akhnoor, Rajouri, Poonch and Border areas of Hasan in Jammu and Kashmir.

On 26 November 2008, there was a terrorist attack on the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. Bhagirath says that after the attack, the hooter was played at our training center in Manesar, Haryana. We were ordered to be ready to go to Mumbai.
On November 27, 200 NSG commandos left for Mumbai. On reaching Mumbai Airport, the hotel reached Taj by helicopter. The team of eight-eight commandos entered the Hotel Taj. The team consisted of 7 commands and commandos of one communication. I was responsible for communication. As soon as the hotel entered the Taj, the bloody people were seen. There was a scream everywhere. The sound of bullets was continuously echoing. Even today, he comes in front of the eyes as soon as he talks.
