The man -eating wolf has returned again in Bahraich, UP. He pulled a 3 -month -old girl from her mother’s lap. When the mother shouted, the father ran behind the wolf, but the wolf ran in the dark.
After 3 hours, in the sugarcane field, about 600 meters from the house, the girl was found only a part of the head equal to the ball. The hands and feet and torso were missing. Bracelet (Kadhi) was lying next to the girl, which identified the girl. Seeing the girl’s head, the parents became insensitive.
The whole case is of village Bhunari Bahorwa in Mahsi police station area. The wolf attacked at 3 am on Friday morning when the mother was sleeping in the verandah with the girl. In the last 48 hours, 2 children have died due to wolf attack in the district.
On Wednesday, wolf killed a 7 -year -old girl. Last year, 9 people were killed and more than 60 injured in wolves’ attacks in the Mahasi tehsil of Bahraich in July-September. Then six wolves were caught. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area again after a year.

Dinesh Tiwari lives with his family in Bhouri Bahorwa village of Mahasi police station area. His wife Rani said, ‘I was sleeping in the verandah with my three -month -old girl Sandhya. Around 3 o’clock in the night, the wolf suddenly came there and caught the girl in the jaw and escaped.
I woke up with his voice. When he saw, the wolf was pressing the daughter in the jaw and taking it towards the field. When I made a noise, my husband and family woke up. The husband chased the wolf with sticks, but he ran away taking advantage of the darkness.
The girl’s father immediately called the people around and informed the forest department. After this, the rural and forest department teams started searching for the girl in the fields. At 6 in the morning, only the skull of the girl was found in the sugarcane field. The rest of the body had eaten the wolf.
Father said- identified daughter from hand bracelet
The girl’s father Dinesh Tiwari said- I could not recognize the body with the skull lying in the field. But nearby my daughter’s hand bracelet and torn clothes were lying at some distance. From this I identified the daughter’s body.
We, along with the villagers and the forest department, discovered the rest of the body in about 1 km area, but nothing could be recovered.
Father Dinesh told- We discovered the rest of the body in one kilometer area, but nothing could be found.
DFO said- Found wolf pagic
Ajit Pratap Singh, DFO of the forest department, said- The pattern and pugs of the attack are looking of wolves. Patrolling has been increased in the area. Cages will be installed. Drone cameras will be monitored.
This is the same sugarcane field where the girl’s body was found.
Two days ago a 7 -year -old girl became a victim
On September 10, a seven -year -old girl was killed by wolf in Kaiserganj area. At 10 o’clock in the night, the wolf secretly entered the house. At that time the innocent was eating food. The girl started fleeing in the jaw.
Hearing the scream of the daughter, the father and uncle lying nearby ran with sticks, but the wolf ran away due to the darkness. The family shouted and called the villagers. After this, the villagers kept searching for the girl with sticks all night, but could not be found. Last year also a herd of wolves in Bahraich caused panic in the area. In July-September 2024, 9 people were killed and more than 60 injured in wolves attacks in Mahasi tehsil. The forest department then caught 6 wolves.
