A major accident was averted in a SpiceJet flight coming from Kandla in Gujarat on Friday. During the takeoff at Kandla Airport, a tire of the Bombardier Q400 plane fell on the runway. Despite this, the pilot continued the flight showing understanding.
Full emergency was declared before the aircraft landing at Mumbai Airport. However, the aircraft made safe landing and reached the terminal itself. All 75 passengers were taken away safely.
The airline has confirmed the incident. The investigation of the incident has been started and technical reasons are being ascertained.
