The Supreme Court had ordered to become a feeding site outside the population. According to Animal Lovers, this will increase the struggle for eating in the dog at the same place at the feeding site. This will not be effective in controlling the population of stray dogs or protecting the public from dog bites, which will keep the problem the same.
Due to the feeding site being out of the population, stray dogs will have to travel long distances to get food. This can disrupt the process of delivering food to them. On the other hand, the Supreme Court has ordered stray dogs to be left back to their place after sterilization and vaccination.
But due to the population away from the population, there will be no significant control over the number of stray dogs. They will continue to roam in populated areas. If the feeding sites are far from the population, the number of dogs reaching there may be limited. This will not have any significant impact on the population of dogs. This situation will be the cause of conflict between dogs and humans.
The Supreme Court gave this order on 22 August.
Government funding for feeding point Jagdeep Mamgaini, former chairman of the construction committee of MCD, says that the feeding site should be arranged from the government fund. The feeding area should be away from the paths and pavements used by the public road, pedestrians for regular movement.
Entrance-Nikas should be away from gates and stairs. The food should be far from the children’s playground and at a place where children and the elderly are less likely to be present.
Mamgaini says that the Supreme Court commented that the feeding site in the corporation ward will be made keeping in mind the population and concentration of stray dogs, for this, the MCD should first know the correct figures to calculate stray dogs according to the corporation ward.
Jagdish Mamgaini said that marking the feeding site according to all security standards is crooked in itself. The food distribution of dogs should be such that they do not harass the surrounding environment and not disturb the local people. Also, do not fight among themselves and if you fight, then there are workers for control.
Dogs conflict at feeding points Rohit Pushkar and Sandhya Sharma, an animal lover who feeds dogs in Vasundhara Enclave, says that a dog does not allow another dog to come out of her front. A dog’s herd breaks on a dog. In such a situation, where the MCD will make feeding point, there will be conflict between the existing dogs.
At the same time, many animal lovers including Rohit Pushkar and Sandhya Sharma said that the judiciary is taking a good decision from its thinking. But in this case, the court will have to get the order to follow the order under its own supervision regarding the lives of 10 lakh unruly.
