Sunita Devi told that when Meenakshi’s father Srikrishna Hooda used to go to work, Meenakshi would go to the stadium to practice from behind. This continued for about 4 months of the beginning. After that, when Meenakshi’s father came to know, he got very angry, but later coach Vijay Hooda and Meenakshi’s father agreed at his behest.

Elder daughters were married, but for the youngest Meenakshi they had a different dreams. Meenakshi wanted to move forward in the Games, so the mother encouraged her.
Initially Meenakshi played handball, but after trying his hand at boxing, she decided that she would do it. After this, he made boxing his passion and practiced strict thrice a day before the championship.
Sunita Devi says that when Meenakshi came to win the medal for the first time, people started changing. After that, father Sri Krishna Hooda also started supporting him completely.
Regarding the villagers’ words, he sent Meenakshi to play out and today the whole family and village are feeling proud of her hard work and victory.

In 2022, daughter Meenakshi got a job in the Indian Tibet police, then the daughter bought old auto and gave it to her. Sri Krishna Hooda said that Meenakshi won medals in many competitions and those who used to oppose Meenakshi’s playing, later he started praising her. When Meenakshi was a final match yesterday, he could not see and was driving the auto. Around 5 o’clock, the son got a call that Meenakshi won. After this, he became emotional and walked towards the house in happiness.

In 2013, for the first time, Meenakshi descended for practice in the boxing ring. When he went to practice, people would taunt, but never cared for it. Rohit said that Meenakshi used to go to the stadium alone. A few days also practiced at Sai Stadium in Rohtak. But most of the Meenakshi used to practice at the stadium itself. Rohit said that Meenakshi has been outside for the last four months and is preparing for the championship.

Villagers congratulated Rohit said that Meenakshi continued to practice in the ongoing National Camp in Patiala for about 3 months and then went directly from there to England last month. It has been practicing in England for almost a month. When Meenakshi won her bout in the final, she was not happy with her happiness and the villagers also congratulated her.
