The monsoon has once again become active in Haryana. Meteorological Department (IMD) Chandigarh has issued rain alert in Panchkula, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Kaithal, Jind, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Faridabad, Noon and Palwal.

According to the department, there will be continuous rain till September 19. Monsoon can be farewell from September 20. So far, 39 percent more rainfall has been received in the monsoon season. Yamunanagar has recorded the highest rainfall.
More than 20 people have died in the state due to rain. Most of these deaths occurred in the month of September. At the same time, more than 70 houses are reported to be collapsing or cracks in them.

There is water from Hisar to Chandigarh, Hansi to Barwala, Hisar to Rajgarh, Hisar to Tosham and Hisar to Bhadra Road, due to which the routes of many villages have been diverted. Administrative teams are constantly taking stock of waterlogging areas.
On the other hand, the e-safety portal opened to compensate for the loss has been closed. According to government data, crops have been damaged in more than 29 lakh acres in 6300 villages due to rain.

- Possibility of rain by 19 September: Dr. Madan Khichad, Chairman of the Meteorological Department of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, said that the monsoon trough is built via Sriganganagar, Rohtak, Sioni, Rajnandgaon to the Bay of Northeast Bengal. Due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation over Himachal Pradesh, the state is expected to rain till September 19 due to the moist winds moving towards the lowland areas.
- Light to moderate rain is expected in these districts: Khichad further stated that by September 19, there is a possibility of partial clouds in Ambala, Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Panipat, Sonipat and light to moderate rain with winds and thunderstorms somewhere. Light rains are likely in the western region’s districts Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Charkidadari, Jind, Rohtak, Jhajjar and the districts of the southern region Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gurugram, Noon, Faridabad, Palwal.
