Police said that accused teacher Manoj Kumar Pal has confessed to murder after kidnapping.
The rotten body of a school student missing for 20 days was found in a sack on Tuesday in Rampurhat area of Birbhum district of West Bengal. The dead body was thrown into water. The police have arrested the student’s school teacher Manoj Kumar Pal.
The student’s family has accused the accused Manoj Kumar Pal of killing the daughter after kidnapping. News agency PTI quoted a police officer as saying that the teacher had been sexually abusing the girl for several days.
According to the official, the girl’s parents said that the teacher had touched her daughter several times wrongly. The girl herself informed her mother about this. After her disappearance, the girl’s mother reported the case to the police.
Teacher obeyed the murder and throwing body According to PTI, when suspected the teacher’s role, the police arrested him. After a long interrogation, he has accepted the kidnapping, murder and then throwing the dead body. The police have registered a case of murder against him. The body of the student has been sent for postmortem.
Family sources said that the girl had left the house on August 28 to go to the tuition class. But when he did not return, the family filed a missing report. He later alleged that he was kidnapped by teacher Manoj Kumar Pal.
Police engaged in finding out the cause of murder On Tuesday morning, the police recovered his mutilated body. SP Amnid said on the phone that the body of the student was thrown into the water in pieces. However, no case of rape has been registered by the family yet.
Police said why the teacher killed the student and whether she was exploited before the murder, it is being investigated. However, investigation is facing difficulties due to rotting of the dead body. The arrested teacher has been kept in police custody for nine days. He is being questioned.
