Protests started after education minister’s statement

Candidates say, the government had earlier announced that there would be more than 1 lakh restoration in the fourth phase, but the Education Minister had given a statement on Teachers’ Day that more than 26 thousand recruitment would be taken out. Candidates started protesting this statement of the Education Minister.

On the other hand, Education Minister Sunil Kumar has said that more than 26 thousand posts will be included in the recruitment of the fourth phase. He claimed that the entire process would be completed in a transparent manner.

The Education Minister has also announced the dates of the examination. The TRE-4 exam will be held between 16 and 19 December 2025 and the results will be declared between 20 to 26 January 2026.

Earlier on 9 September, thousands of candidates demonstrated in Patna. There was a conflict between the police and the protesters. Police used lathicharge and water canon to control the crowd.
