Since the start of the monsoon season in Himachal, there have been 46 cloudburst incidents so far. This led to flood situation 98 times and landslides in 146 places. 424 people have died in rain -related incidents.
The land collapsed under the Famous Edward School on Friday in Shimla. There is a danger of falling school due to landslide. The administration has closed the school in view of the safety of children. The state has received 1021.6mm rain (46% more than normal) from June 1 to September 19.
