- Rupinder was caught in the case of fraud herself: According to the police, two cases of fraud were registered against Rupinder at NRI police station in Ludhiana. Both these cases were lodged by his sister Kamal Kaur at NRI police stations in 2015 and 2016. Kamal Kaur had filed an FIR against Rupinder. Kamal alleged that after the death of her husband Rajinder Singh, Rupinder had tried to hold a fake Rajinder Singh and capture his property. Rupinder, advocating the same case, handed over to Sukhjit, who worked as a typist in the court. - Charanjeet gave Sukhjeet to the betel nut: After meeting, Charanjeet was aware of the cases registered on Rupinder. The special thing is that Rupinder was a fugitive in both cases, due to which she often stayed at Sukhjit’s house. Charanjeet knew this thing. On Rupinder’s threat of implicating in the rape case, Charanjeet prepared Sukhjeet to kill him. According to the police, he lured him that Rupinder already has 30-35 lakh rupees in his accounts, he will give more than 50 lakhs, kill. It also lured that after the murder, he would settle it in Britain, where there will be no fear of the police. Seeing this offer, Sukhjit agreed to murder.
- Called Ludhiana as an excuse to get married: Charanjeet had done full planning for the murder. Under this plan, he called Rupinder to Ludhiana. Told him to reach India, I am also arriving from Britain, we will marry. On hearing this, Rupinder became happy and came to India in the early week of July. Here she stopped near Sukhjeet. Sukhjeet had the responsibility of killing it and hiding the body. Sukhjit had already kept all the arrangements.

- On July 12, beaten with baseball bat and murdered: Sukhjit, who was caught by the police, said that Rupinder was living near him after coming to India. Charanjeet and he planned to murder him. In such a situation, he first expressed the body on coal at home. He had already brought this coal. For two days, he slowly burnt the body on coals.
- The skin burnt, thrown the skeleton into the drain: The body continued to burn in the fire for two days. When all the skin was burnt and bones were left, it took more than five hours and collected the bones and then filled the bones in a sack and threw it into the drain of Ghungrana. After coming from here, he cleaned the entire house. The body was thrown out of the ashes collected by burning the body. - Renovate the room, remove CCTV: According to the police, Sukhjit informed Charanjeet after throwing the body in Ghungrana drain. Both discussed erasing evidence. After this, Sukhjit immediately called the laborer and renovated the room in which he burnt the body. Also, CCTV installed in the house was also removed and burnt so that no evidence could be found from them. After this he went to the market and got new CCTV cameras and got them installed. His iPhone was also broken and thrown into the drain.
