There was a clash between students and police on Wednesday in Leh, Union Territory of Ladakh. The students stoned the police, set the CRPF car on fire. Actually these students are protesting with social activist Sonam Wangchuk. Wangchuk has been on hunger strike for the last 15 days.
In the year 2019, two union territories were created while removing Article 370 and 35A. At that time, the government assured to restore the status of full state when the state’s situation was normal.

Movement started after removing Article 370 On 5 August 2019, the Central Government removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and abolished the status of full state. After this, Jammu and Kashmir became a separate union territory. Ladakh became a separate union territory by combining Leh and Kargil.
After this, the people of Leh and Kargil started feeling politically evicted. He raised his voice against the Center. In the last two years, people have been protesting several times and have been demanding full state status and constitutional security, which led to their land, jobs and separate identity, which they got under Article 370.
