The Union Ministry of Defense on Thursday deals with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to create a 97 Tejas Mark 1A fighter jet for the Indian Air Force. The Center has made a deal of Rs 62,370 crore with Hindustan Aeronautics.
HAL has received this second order for Tejas Fighter Jet from the Center. Earlier in February 2021, the government ordered HAL to make 83 aircraft. For this, a contract of Rs 46,898 crore was done. However, these aircraft have not been delivered till now. The company has time till 2028 for their delivery.
