Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati alias Parthasarathy was arrested by Delhi Police late on Saturday night from Agra.
Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati alias Parthasarathi, head of Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management-Rest, at Vasant Kunj, Delhi, was arrested by Delhi Police late on Saturday night. Chaitanyanand has been seriously accused of sexual harassment of many girl students.
Chaitanyanand was absconding and his last location was found in Agra. Several teams of Delhi Police were continuously raiding. According to police,
The accused used to threaten the girl students, send pornographic messages and greed them in their trap by luring them abroad. He several times called the student to the room late at night and threatened to give less grade.
During the investigation, it was revealed in the WhatsApp message recovered that Chaitanyanand used to send messages like “Baby”, “I Love You”, “I Ador You” to the students. Along with this, he also praised his hair and clothes.
Police investigation also revealed that three women warden and faculty also helped the accused. She used to get the chats deleted by putting pressure on the girl students and asked them to remain silent.
Accused targeted financially weak girl students
The accused targeted the students of EWS quota as she was financially weak and studying on scholarship. Police said, 32 girl students were questioned, out of which 17 lodged a complaint of sexual harassment and mental harassment directly.
So far, 16 students have recorded the statement in front of the magistrate. It was also revealed that some girl students were also given the pretense of foreign tour by the accused.
Call girls in the room and threaten to give less grade
Police investigation revealed that Chaitanyanand adopted a strategy of intimidating and giving the students. He often sent pornographic messages.
It would have been written in his message- Come to my room, I will take you abroad, you will not have to spend anything, if I do not listen to me, I will fail you in the exam. The accused would call the girl students in their room at night and threaten to give them less grade when refused.
Criminal cases have already been registered against accused
There are already several criminal cases against Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati. In 2009, a case of fraud and molestation was registered against him in Delhi Defense Colony.
In 2016, a woman in Vasant Kunj filed a case of molestation against her. However, not much information related to Chaitanyanand’s personal life has been revealed yet.
