MDU’s teachers’ organization Maduta described it as a security guard’s work or a fine guard. It is said that this is being done to harass teachers. The proctor has been accused of imposing wrong duty. On the other hand, Proctor argued that duty has been imposed from 26 September to 10 October under the university rules.

Know which duty was imposed …
- Teacher, non -teachers imposed duty: Proctorial duty of teachers and non -teachers has been imposed on behalf of MDU administration. For this, a letter has also been issued by Proctor Dr. Randeep Rana, on which the teachers are protesting. When some teachers were seen doing proctorial duty (Maduta) Pradhan opposed it.
- Duty imposed in 7 zones: 7 zones have been created for Proctorial duty in MDU. The first zone includes Yagyashala, student activity center, University Haat and Hostel in Zone 2, University Sports Area, Playground, Dr. Mangal Sen Gymnazium Hall, Swimming Pool in Zone 3, Zone 3. Vivekananda Library in the fourth zone and Abhilasha Girls Hostel from Gate No. Two in Zone 5, University Non Teaching Union Office in Zone 6, Faculty House, Zone 7 to University Gate No. 8 PGIMS to Abhilasha Girls Hostel.
- Duty of these people: Dr. Umendra Malik, Dr. Vikas Sindhu, Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Virbhan, Dr. Shyam Sundar, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Dr. Rajkumar, Dr. Sundar Singh, Dr. Shakti Singh, Dr. Balakishan, Dr. Ritika, Dr. Meenu, Dr. Anil Kumar Sivach, Sundar Singh, Dr. Garima Dhingda, Dr. Sapna Sharma, Dr. Anup have been imposed. Along with this, Dr. Rajkumar Yadav, Dr. Jitendra Rathi, Dr. Darshana, Dr. Isha, Dr. Sangeeta Rani, Dr. Surendra Singh, Dr. Samandar Singh, Dr. Kapil Malhotra, Dr. Sumegh, Dr. Balwinder Singh, Dr. Meenakshi, Dr. Meenakshi, Dr. Anjali Duhan, Dr. Gurdayal, Dr. Kavita, Dr. Rekha Rani, Dr. Anil Kumar have been included in the project.
3 things of Teachers Association Pradhan against duty …
- Proctor does not have the right to impose duty: Principal Vikas Sivach of MDU Teachers Association said that Proctor Dr. Randeep Rana has gone out of his jurisdiction and imposed the duty of teachers from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. The MDU campus is divided into 7 zones, in which women’s duty is also imposed.
- Teachers work to teach: Vikas Pradhan further said that the work of teachers is to teach, not to guard the right. Maduta strongly opposed it. 73 percent of the students feel uncomfortable on the campus. This type of duty of teachers should not be imposed.
- Students gave memorandum to VC: Principal Vikas Sivach said that 73 percent of the students had given a memorandum to MDU VC recently that she feels uncomfortable on the campus. Even the security guard does not know where their duty is on. Security has been increased at VC’s house. Even the security guards under HKRN are not known, where have been deployed.

- Maintain discipline: The primary objective of Proctorial Duty is to maintain discipline in the campus and ensure that students follow the rules and regulations of the institute.
- Student Consultation: Proctorial students provide regular consultation and guidance to their educational and personal problems.
- Ethical surveillance: Proctor monitors the moral behavior of the students and take preventive measures to prevent any improper activity in the campus.
- Grievance redressal: The Proctorial Board has the right to receive any complaint made by students, employees or other persons and take action on them.
- Security Environment: Ensuring a safe and protected environment is also part of Proctorial duty.
- Contact with parents: Proctor regularly informs the parents of the students and assist them in supervision of their educational progress.
