The roof of the fire station under construction of the municipal corporation collapsed on Tuesday night in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. One laborer Navinath Kagalkar (38) was killed in the accident, while five laborers were injured.

The injured include Akshay Lad, Dattatraya Shembeda, Jaya Shembade, Vanita Gaikwad and Suman Waghmare. All are being treated at CPR Hospital, one of which is in critical condition. After the accident, the fire brigade and police did relief work.
