Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a statement on the Sikh slaughter of 1984. He has said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had helped Sikhs at that time. Many Sikh families took refuge in the homes of RSS workers.

The Prime Minister also said that even during the floods in Punjab, RSS workers had first reached the victims. Sangh workers have done selfish service there. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was speaking at a program organized in Delhi on completion of 100 years of formation of the Sangh.
