Today Dussehra is being celebrated across the country. Ravana, the world’s tallest 221 feet Ravana will be burnt in Kota, Rajasthan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join Sri Ramlila Committee Indraprastha of Delhi. There will be a burning of 72 feet high Ravana.
Here, the International Dussehra festival started in Kullu Valley with the farewell of Hidimba Devi in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. The Dussehra festival will start as soon as the procession reaches Dhalpur Maidan, which will last for 7 days.
The festival of Dussehra is being celebrated in many states including Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh. There will be Ravana Dahan by many cities in the evening. There will also be immersion of Goddess statues kept in Durga pandals.

Himachal Pradesh: Dussehra festival in Manali will last 7 days
On the last day of Navratri, a large crowd of devotees participated in the procession of Hidimba Devi. With the farewell of Hidimba Devi, preparations for the International Dussehra festival started in Kullu Valley. The Dussehra festival will start as soon as Hidimba Devi’s procession reaches Dhalpur ground on Thursday morning. It will last for seven days.
