Patna Metro has started before the announcement of Bihar assembly elections. On Monday, CM Nitish Kumar flagged off it. In the first phase, it will be run between ISBT to Bhootnath Road between 3 stations. This track is 4.5 km long.

The fare of Zero Mile from New ISBT will be Rs 15 and the fare from New ISBT to Bhootnath station will be 30 rupees.

However, information about when the metro service will start for the people of Patna has not been given.

The metro will run at a speed of 40km per hour. The time of operating the metro will be from 8 am to 10 pm.

After launching the metro service, Nitish Kumar also laid the foundation stone of the Metro’s 6 Under Ground Tunnel on Bailey Road.

Safety Commissioner has given green signal

3 days ago, the Metro Rail Safety Commissioner (CMRS) issued a security certificate for the primary corridor of Patna Metro. The CMRS had intensively examined the signaling system, strength of the tracks, train speed, braking system and other points. It was approved to start the metro service after meeting the security standards.

Metro ran on the elevated track on 7 September

The first trial run of Patna Metro took place on 3 September. The train was run on a 800 meter track inside the depot. After this, on September 7, the journey of 3.6km from ISBT station to Bhootnath station was on the elevated track on 7 September.

During this period, all things related to the speed of the metro, signaling system and the safety of the track have been examined. Technical disturbances during the trial were also seen.

Metro bogies designed with Madhubani painting

Patna Metro bogies have been designed with Madhubani painting. The entire bogies will be seen in orange color. Stickers have been installed everywhere, including gates, body, window of all the three metro bogies. The look of the bogies has been changed.

The sticker of Madhubani painting is pasted on the roof of the metro. The bogies have been decorated with pictures of all tourist places in Bihar including Golghar, Mahavir Temple, Mahabodhi tree, Buddha Stupa, Nalanda ruins.

Metro Corridor Forest and Tunnel Fellow

The Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone of six underground stations and 9.35 km long tunnel, including Patna Junction of Metro Corridor One. Tunnel will be built in 9.35 km from Patna Junction to Rukanpura and Mithapur in Corridor One. In the Corridor One, the tunnel including 2565.80 crore to six underground stations is to be constructed. The agency has been signed. Construction is to be completed in 42 months. The tender was issued in two parts for the corridor one.

In its first part, Rukanpura, Raja Bazar and zoo stations will be built. After Pataliputra Elevated Station, Rukanpura Rap will cost 1147.50 crores. In the second part, Vikas Bhawan, Vidyut Bhawan and Patna Junction Station will be constructed. Also, a tunnel will be made from Vikas Bhawan to Mithapur ramp via Patna Junction. 1418.30 crore will be spent on construction.
