Crowds of people going to villages on Diwali-Chhath Puja have started gathering at railway stations. About 14 thousand passengers departed from 9 trains from 5 am to 10 pm on Tuesday at Udhna station of Surat in Gujarat. This number is of reserved passengers. If the number of General passengers are added to these, the number may increase further.
4 thousand passengers left by Tapti Ganga train itself About 4 thousand passengers left by Udhna-Danapur train at 8.40 am and Tapti Ganga train at 10.30 am. This time along with Diwali-Chhath Puja, Bihar assembly elections are also going to be held.
Due to this, there is a possibility of record crowd at Surat and Udhna stations. In view of this, Railways has implemented crowd management.

- Passengers have been allowed to walk in queues only.
- City police will continuously patrol outside the platform.
- This time the passenger holding capacity of the platform has also been increased.
- The police team has made a crowd management strategy by meeting with railway officials, GRP and RPF.
- For the first time, aerial surveillance will be done using drones. Additional police force will be deployed for crowd control.
