There was a loud explosion in two scooties parked near a mosque in Kanpur. This caused panic in the market. People were seen running on the road. The walls of 6 shops in the market were cracked due to the blast. The false ceiling of a shop collapsed. The explosion was so strong that its sound was heard up to 500 meters.

Six people including a woman were injured in this incident. The police have admitted the injured to Ursala Hospital. Bomb squad and forensic team collected evidence from the spot. The Home Secretary Department has taken cognizance of the incident. Many agencies including ATS have started investigating whether there is any terrorist angle behind the incident. The incident took place in Mulganj police station area on Wednesday evening at around 7:30 pm.

He sells plastic flowers. Two scooters were parked on the road towards Sufiyan’s shop. Then there was a loud explosion in both the scooters simultaneously.
People standing at shops and passing by got burnt due to the plume of fire emanating from the scooter. At the same time, both the scooters were destroyed by the explosion. Aamir’s son Tayyab told that we were sitting in the shop. Employee Mohsin was sitting outside the shop. Then there was an explosion. When I ran outside, I saw Mohsin lying on the ground. Blood was coming out of his mouth. About 5 to 6 people are injured and suffering on the road.

There is a toy shop of Abdul and Kasif in the neighbourhood. Mujahid sells sports goods. The walls of his shops also cracked. Mo. Uwais’s shop has also been damaged.
Shopkeeper Mohd. Uwais told that we were sitting in the shop when the explosion occurred. There was a stampede on the road. We came running out of the shops. The goods of the shops were scattered outside. The injured were sent to the hospital.

3 people got more than 50 percent burns On getting information about the incident, Police Commissioner Raghuveer Lal reached the spot. Talked to the shopkeepers there. After this he reached Ursala Hospital. He talked to the injured. He told that 8 people were brought here. Two of these people were slightly injured. Therefore he was sent home.
The injured included Ashwani Kumar (54), Suhana (16), Mursaleen (25), Abdul (25), Zubeen (15), Bharat Bhatia (30), SK Raisuddin (40), Mohsin and Bilal. In this, Suhana, SK Raisuddin and Ashwani Kumar suffered more than 50 percent burns. All of them have been referred to KGMU. Whereas Murshaline and Raish are less injured. He is being treated in Ursala.
Joint Police Commissioner Ashutosh Kumar said that there was an explosion in two scooties. It is being investigated whether the battery burst or there was some explosive substance in it.
Meanwhile, Kanpur Police Commissioner Raghuveer Lal has said that action will be taken by running a campaign against those who collect firecrackers illegally. Along with this, how illegal firecrackers were being stored in the sugar candy market. An investigation will be conducted as to why the police and LIU were not aware of this. Departmental action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.
