People surrounded the police station at night in protest against the assault on an RSS pracharak. People also gathered in front of the houses of the youth who assaulted the district preacher. The protesters remained adamant on their demand for the arrest of the accused. Vandalized in front of the police station. At many places, fruit shops set up on carts were also overturned.
On receiving information about the incident, Collector Narendra Suryavanshi and ASP Kamala Joshi also reached Multai. Additional police force was also called from Pandhurna. The protesters were given advice. Late night the administration imposed Section 144 in the city.
Controversy started after hitting a bike RSS district pracharak Shishupal Yadav had left for some work on a bike. Then at a turn some youth hit him on a bike. There was an altercation regarding this matter. Within a short time, fighting started. It is being told that Yadav has also suffered injuries in this attack. Police have detained three youths.
