Punjab’s famous vegetarian bodybuilder and actor Varinder Ghuman passed away at the age of 43. He suffered a heart attack during the operation in the hospital, due to which he died.

Varinder’s height was 6.2 feet and weight was around 140 kg. Due to his excellent height and weight, body building was easy for him. He was known as “The Heman of India”. He won the title of Mr. India in 2009. He stood second in the Mr. Asia competition.
Apart from body building, Varinder also made his mark in the film industry. He was seen in Punjabi films along with Bollywood film Tiger-3 with Salman Khan. Was also fond of getting tattoos done with vehicles
Ghumman was tall since his school days, so he decided to become a cricketer. Started playing as a fast bowler in the school team. Father did not like becoming a cricketer. He sent Ghumman to Athletic, so that he could join the police. Destiny had something else in store. Ghuman became neither a cricketer nor an athlete. He went towards body building and made India proud at the international level.

Born in Gurdaspur, brought up in Jalandhar Varinder Ghumman was born on 28 December 1982 in Talwandi, Gurdaspur district. He received his primary education there and after that his family shifted to Jalandhar. He received his higher education from Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. He did MBA and later did a dance and acting course from Mumbai.
Had made tattoo of snake and Omkar Varinder Ghumman was fond of getting tattoos done. He had a tattoo of a snake on his right hand, while a tattoo of Omkar was made on the middle finger of his left hand. Whenever he won a competition, he would first show the snake tattoo on his right hand and then extend his left hand and show the tattoo on his finger. Despite being a bodybuilder, Varinder Ghuman was a vegetarian.

Body builder, actor and tried his hand in dairy farming. Ghumman chose body building as his career. After earning a great name, he first acted in the Punjabi film industry and then also appeared in the Hindi film industry. To work in films, he went to Mumbai and also did a course in dance and acting. Apart from this, he also chose dairy farming as his business. He also played the roles of Hanuman and Bhim Sen in some plays.

Was fond of collecting cars Varinder Ghuman was very fond of collecting cars. Toyota has Fortuner, Chevrolet Cruze, Hyundai Verna and Range Rover cars. There is also a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Was the father of one daughter and 2 sons Varinder Ghuman is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons. His father Bhupendra Singh has retired from Punjab Police as ASI. His mother Harbhajan Kaur died on 11 August 2009. Father was Kabaddi and grandfather hockey player.
He was elected Mr. India in 2009 In the year 2005, Varinder Singh Ghumman won the district level body building competition for the first time and got the title of Mr. Jalandhar. After this he did not stop and kept winning awards one after the other. In the year 2005 itself, Varinder Singh Ghuman won the title of Mr. Punjab. In 2009 he was elected Mr. India. Next year, he competed in the Mr. Asia competition and stood second.
