Families and organizations related to SC category have called a Mahapanchayat in Chandigarh on Sunday. On the other hand, some Khaps have also come out in favor of IPS Narendra Bijarania. IPS Y Puran Kumar committed suicide by shooting himself in his own house on October 7. Before dying, he left behind an 8-page last note and a one-page will.

- Body shifted to PGI for postmortem: After consent from the government on postmortem late on Friday night, the body of IPS Y Puran Kumar was shifted from Sector 16 District Hospital to PGI before 10 am on Saturday. When the family members came to know about this, they protested against it and warned of refusing to accept the body. This attitude of the family members created a stir in the administration and a statement was issued by the Chandigarh DGP that postmortem will not be done without the permission of the family members.
- Cabinet meeting cancelled: A cabinet meeting was called at 3 pm on Saturday regarding the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Haryana on October 17. After this, the legislature party meeting and dinner party was to be held at the CM residence, but the cabinet meeting had to be canceled regarding this entire matter. Now the government has called a cabinet meeting on October 12. This meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at 9 am.
- The family called a Mahapanchayat today: Here, Y Puran Kumar’s family and scheduled society have formed a 31 member committee. The committee says that the family will not conduct postmortem until DGP Shatrujit Kapoor and SP Narendra Bijarania are arrested. Mahapanchayat will be held on Sunday i.e. today at 2 pm at Guru Ravidas Gurudwara located in Sector-20, Chandigarh.
- These big personalities met IAS Amneet P Kumar: On Saturday, big personalities met the IAS wife of IPS Y Puran Kumar. The names of Congress MPs Deepender Singh Hooda, Kumari Selja, Randeep Surjewala, Chandrashekhar Ravan and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann are included in the list to meet him. Former Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia also came to meet Amneet P Kumar. On behalf of Haryana Government, Cabinet Ministers Anil Vij, Krishna Lal Panwar and Krishna Bedi came to meet.

- Congress’s demonstration at all district headquarters: Congress is protesting at all the district headquarters to protest against action in the suicide case of Puran Kumar. Congress demands that action be taken against the accused officers. Ravidas Mahasabha has called a meeting in Hisar. In Rohtak too, social organizations took to the streets and even surrounded the SP residence.
- Sarva Samaj Mahapanchayat in Rohtak in support of Bijarania: A Mahapanchayat of Sarva Samaj has been called at Mansarovar Park in Rohtak on Sunday in protest against the removal of IPS Narendra Bijarania from the post of SP of Rohtak. An appeal in this regard is being made viral in social media groups. On Saturday, Khaps also supported Bijarania. He says that Bijarania is being made a scapegoat without any investigation. The government should immediately cancel the transfer. No punitive action should be taken without investigation.
