,
While addressing, Kejriwal said- Drug addiction was the biggest problem in Punjab. The previous governments connivated smugglers and drove intoxication in the house of Punjab. The condition was that it seemed, Punjab was completely destroyed.
But after our government came, we waged a war against drugs. No matter how big a minister, an officer or a smuggler – we did not spare anyone. Everyone has been caught in jail.
Drug smugglers luxurious houses are being broken- Kejriwal
He said- The luxurious houses which were built with money by selling intoxication are being broken. This black money is being seized and spent on education of children and treatment of people. A large part of the intoxication sold in Punjab comes from Pakistan and it is brought through a drone. The drones are dropped from across the border, and then intoxication reaches Punjab.
3 anti-drain system launched
Today, the Punjab government has deployed an anti-drain system to tighten it. Now if a drone comes from Pakistan, it will be dropped immediately. Due to this, drug addiction will not be able to enter Punjab. Today we are launching 3 anti-drain systems. A total of 9 systems have been ordered, out of which 6 more will come soon. If needed, more will be purchased.
Punjab is the only state in the country today, which has its own anti-drain system. The old governments had thrown Punjab into the fire of intoxication, but today’s Punjab is fighting it, and we will win this war.

CM Bhagwant Mann attacked Akali Dal
CM Bhagwant Mann while addressing said that in 2009, the number of drug addicts in Punjab was around 1,000. But by 2015, this number increased to about 20 thousand. Whose gift is this? Taking a dig at Bikram Majithia without naming, he said that when the ministers will walk in their vehicles with ‘chitta’, when the smugglers will be seated in the house as ‘Jigri Yaar’, how can the situation improve?
Who will save the garden when the gardener becomes dishonest? But now the situation has changed. The government, who has created the palace with drug money, will confiscate all of them and will invest that money for the good of the public, education of children and treatment of people. Punjab is fighting, Punjab will win, and the drug mafia will be defeated.

CM Bhagwant Mann was awarded the Guard of Honor in Tarnamaran.
Police will get Special Training For this, special training is being given to policemen, which include the operation of these systems and the nuances of their effective use in the field. With the introduction of this technology, Punjab will get a strong security shield against drugs and weapons smuggling.
The government has bought 9 high-tech anti-drain systems at a cost of Rs 51.41 crore. These systems will prove to be a “game-changer” in preventing smuggling through drones from across the border. Their specialty is that they can not only detect the exact location of the drone and its control station, but can also issue automatic warnings of alert and danger on real-time map.
Against smuggling Rear Years In Big Action The Punjab Police has made several big attacks on smuggling through drones in recent years. 591 drones were recovered from 2022 to 15 July 2025. From which 932 kg heroin, 263 pistols, 14 AK-47 rifles, 66 hand grenades and 15 kg RDX were recovered. In addition, more than 22 thousand smugglers have been arrested.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, “Our government will leave no stone unturned to protect the younger generation of Punjab from drug addiction and strengthen border security. This anti-draone system will not only help to stop smuggling, but will also strengthen our fight against terrorism.”
596 border villages In Supervision network To further strengthen security in the border areas, the Punjab government has created a strong monitoring network by adding local people, retired soldiers and policemen in 596 villages. This mechanism has been made more effective by quick information system through digital mapping, beat book records and WhatsApp.
By coordinating with BSF, the Punjab Police is monitoring every drone flying on the border through modern technology, forensic investigation and communication analysis. The government believes that the use of this new technology will help in eliminating the smuggling network from the root.
