Air India will start operating completely international flights from October 1. CEO Campbell Wilson said that some international flights have started flying from 1 August and aims to start all flights by 1 October. Some flights were partially stopped after the plane crash on 12 June in Ahmedabad.

He said that flights would be started only after the investigation process is completed. He admitted that operational problems have come in the last few weeks, which would have affected the experience of passengers. Wilson said that DGCA has an annual audit of Air India and an external team of experts has conducted IATA Operations Safety Audit.

After this, DGCA had said in a statement that Air India’s audit results have been found correct on our scale. These audit are made to improve the aviation industry.

In fact, Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London on June 12 crashed over a hostel after flying AI-171. A total of 270 people were killed in this. The aircraft had 242 people on board, one of which survived. At the same time, 29 people died in the medical hostel on which the aircraft fell.

AI under investigation after Ahmedabad plane crash

The incident came to light at a time when this airline owned by Tata Group was already facing criticism due to continuous operations, such as delays, service complaints and maintenance problems.

Several security violations were also found in the functioning of the airline in the audit of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). On July 23, DGCA sent four shows notices to Air India. These cabin were about the crew’s comfort and duty rules, training rules, and violation of operational procedure.

Two Air India flights were canceled on 2 August

On August 2, AI had to cancel two of its flights due to technical reasons. The first flight AI 500 was coming to Delhi from Bhubaneswar. However, the cabin temperature was high before the flight departs at Bhubaneswar Airport.

The flight was then canceled. According to Flightradar 24.com, Airbus A321 was to fly at 12:35 pm to reach Delhi at 2:55 pm.

Earlier on August 2, the Singapore-Chennai flight of Air India was also canceled for repair work. The airline said that the AI 349 was about to leave from Singapore, but before that the need for repair was seen, which had to take extra time. Due to this, the flight was canceled.
