On Monday, Home Minister Amit Shah held a high level meeting on internal security in Parliament House. During this, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, IB Director Tapan Kumar Deka, Home Secretary Govind Mohan were present. According to media reports, the meeting lasted about 30 minutes.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah met different President Draupadi Murmu on Sunday at a interval of a few hours. The reasons behind these meetings have not been ascertained.
