,
Aujla wrote that Punjab, especially Amritsar border area, is currently facing unprecedented destruction. Heavy rains and strong water from the hilly areas have submerged the lower areas. Thousands of families have become homeless, the standing crops of farmers have been completely ruined and the situation in rural areas is very bad.
The MP expressed displeasure and said- I want to say with controlled anger and deep disappointment that my earlier appeals were ignored. The Punjab is in crisis and no more silence cannot be tolerated.

A letter sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of MP Aujla.
Demand to send high level team from center
In the letter, Aujla urged the Prime Minister to visit Punjab himself and send a high level team from the Center to assess the real situation. He said that sending only NDRF teams will not solve the problem. For this, special relief package is immediately needed, so that the affected families can get relief and Punjab can stand again.
He also said that Amritsar is not only a border city, but an important center of food security and grain reserves of the country. The damage caused by floods has destroyed farmers, which can affect the food supply of the entire country.
National security threatened
MP Aujla also linked this crisis with national security. He said that Amritsar border is on the advance front of India’s security. But today when Punjab is struggling with a severe disaster like floods, then the silence of the Center is unacceptable.
MPs are constantly visiting flood affected areas and are engaged in relief operations. Aujla said that he has constantly sent relief material by forming separate teams. They are also helping the families affected by their Daswanda (part of income dedicated to social service). He assured that even after the water is descended, he will continue to work for rehabilitation.
