Assam Police DSP Sandipan Garg has been arrested in the Simbar Zubeen Garg death case. Sandipan Garg is the cousin of Zubeen Garg. He was present with the singer in Singapore at the time of the accident.

Zubeen Garg died in Singapore on 19 September. The singer had gone to Singapore for the North East India Festival to be held on September 20, where he participated in a water adventure activity. It was claimed that he died in an accident while scuba diving.
