The central government is going to check the mental and physical health of 26 crore school children in the country in school. The first trial of Ayushman Bharat School Health Mission has been successful in Tripura.
Under this, health monitoring of children up to 18 years of age was done in school on 30 parameters. These tested injuries, violence, insulting, unprotected relationship, mental and emotional disorder, aggression, bones disorders, lean-motor, eye lights, skin diseases, blood loss etc.
This opened the way for timely counseling and medical examinations of children. Therefore, preparations have started to implement it across the country. However, trials are also going on on 1.50 crore children in 30 thousand schools of 388 districts of 34 states and union territories. Its results are to come.
This mission is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Human Resource Development, which is to be implemented in government and aided schools across the country. It will start from small states.
The scheme will be applicable in these states in this financial year According to officials associated with both ministries, the scheme will be implemented during the current financial year in some small states like Puducherry, Chandigarh, Meghalaya and Mizoram, as schools mapping are easy in these states.
Some technical and practical problems are to be overcome before implementing it across the country. Such as- Somewhere in nomination of health and wellness ambassadors, adequate number of female and male teachers, lack of desired age (up to 45 years), not being balanced in Wellness Day (Tuesday), etc.
