Bangalore businessman Yusuf Sharif alias ‘KGF Babu’ has imposed a fine of ₹ 38.26 lakh for not paying road tax on two luxury cars. These vehicles were earlier by Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan. Now they are running Sharif, but the vehicles are still registered in Maharashtra and the owner is a film star on paper.
According to the rules of Karnataka, if a vehicle runs in the state for more than a year, it is necessary to register and pay tax. Phantom has been running in Bangalore from 2021 and Ghost 2023. This is why both are fined.
