In 2020, elections were held in Bihar in 3 phases. Voting took place from 20 October to 7 November. The result was declared on 10 November. In 2015, there was voting in 5 phases. Voting took place from 12 October to 5 November. The election results were declared on 8 November.

NDA will contest elections under Nitish’s leadership
In the 2025 election, NDA clearly says that the assembly elections will be contested on the leadership and face of Nitish Kumar. Initially there was a slight confusion about Nitish in the NDA, but now the big leaders of BJP themselves have approved Nitish’s face.
JDU is also considering Nitish as CM face and his slogan is- ‘2025 to 2030, again Nitish.’ Apart from this, Chirag Paswan’s party LJP (R) and Ham Party supremo Jitan Ram Manjhi has also agreed to contest on Nitish’s face.
