The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has imposed a fine of Rs 40 lakh on Indigo Airlines. The airline had trained pilots on simulators who were not qualified to operate at important C category airports like Calicut, Leh and Kathmandu. This training was conducted in July 2025. About 1700 pilots participated in it. A flight simulator is a device or software used for purposes such as training pilots, designing aircraft, and conducting research.
