Today is the 7th death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. On this occasion, many leaders including President Draupadi Murmu and PM Modi arrived in Delhi to pay tribute to his tomb ‘Sada Atal’.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on 25 December 1924 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh and was elected Prime Minister of the country thrice. Vajpayee was the face of the BJP for decades and was the first non-Congress Prime Minister to complete the full tenure.

Vajpayee was the Prime Minister of India from 16 May 1996 to 1 June 1996, then from 19 March 1998 to 22 May 2004. He also served as the Foreign Minister of India in the cabinet of Prime Minister Morarji Desai from 1977 to 1979. He died on 16 August 2018 at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi.
