Chandigarh is ranked 8th in the Clean Air Survey 2025.
Chandigarh has achieved a major achievement in the Clean Air Survey 2025. This time Chandigarh was ranked 8th in the country, while in the year 2024 it was ranked 27th. That is, 19 places have been jumped in a year.

The Clean Air Survey is conducted every year under the National Clean Air Program (NCAP) by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. In this, the ranking of cities is based on frequent efforts and success to improve their air quality.
Will work towards making healthy
Saurabh Kumar, Director of Environment and CPCC Member Secretary Saurabh Kumar said, “This achievement shows Chandigarh’s commitment to give clean air. It has contributed to all from policy makers to ordinary citizens. We will work towards making the city more green and healthy even further.”
Clean Air Survey includes cities on 8 main parameters, including municipal waste management, road dust control, construction and dust coming out of debris, control over vehicles, strictness on pollution of industries, public awareness and perticulate matter (PM) reform trends.
