After which the Advisory Committee of 3 retired judges of the High Court, including SS Maidan, Shekhar Dhawan and Kuldeep Singh, was formed in this case and during that time he also asked the police a lot of questions, which was also answered by the Chandigarh Police, but those questions did not satisfy the Advisory Committee.

The Advisory Committee made its report and sent it to the Central Government, in which Bala and Deepak were refused to send Bala and Deepak to Dibrugarh Central Jail, after which both of them had to leave the police from jail.

Crime branch looted accolades On May 2, the Chandigarh Crime Branch issued a press note claiming that the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has sent two notorious drug smugglers Sector 38A and 45C Deepak Mittal alias Vicky of Assam and sent it to Dibrugarh Central Jail in Assam under the PITNDPS Act.

This action was taken after the approval of PitndPS Unit, Union Finance Ministry (Revenue Department). The crime branch described it as a great success to eliminate the intoxication network spread in the city.

However, now the Advisory Committee of three retired judges of the High Court has questioned Bala and Deepak to Dibrugarh Jail, questioning this case file and sent its report to the center. This has raised questions on the police action.

More than 36 cases registered According to police records, 60-year-old Bala is a resident of Sector 38-A and a habitual criminal. There are more than 36 cases registered against him, out of which 10 cases are under the NDPS Act. Bala used the delivery boy from her home as a delivery boy to minor children and people of the locality.

In 2015, he was sentenced to 10 years, but after coming out of jail, he started a drug business again. According to the police, she had become a big name for intoxication in the city and despite being caught several times, she did not desist from her antics.

Deepak Mittal alias Vicky is a resident of Sector 45-C and is accused in many cases of heroin smuggling. Cases have been registered on him before and it is considered part of the network spread to the root of intoxication. According to the police, many youths were caught into drugs due to Vicky.
