There have been incidents of cloudburst in 4 different places in Himachal Pradesh in the last 2 days. On Wednesday evening, there has been heavy damage due to cloudburst in Shrikhand hill, pilgrimage valley of Kullu, Tirthan Valley and Shimla’s Nanti. More than 20 vehicles in both the districts were buried in the rubble.

Debris came into the drain due to cloudburst in the hills behind Khaltoonala of Kotkhai in Shimla at around 3 am on Thursday. Due to this, more than 6 vehicles and half a petrol pump were buried. At present, 395 roads including 2 National Highways are closed in the state.

There are flood conditions in more than 20 districts after the rains in Uttar Pradesh for the past several days. The Sharda River is rapidly cutting in Lakhimpur. Due to the rise in the water level of the Ganges river in Sambhal, there has been a threat of floods in 20 villages.

The Meteorological Department has issued rain alert in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Telangana on Friday. At the same time, there are yellow alert in 24 states including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Bihar.
