60 domestic flights of Air India will meet Terminal 2 (T2) from October 26 at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. At the same time, the domestic flights of Air India Express will meet Terminal 1 (T1). Terminal 3 (T3) will only get international blows. Air India gave this information on Friday.

The company said that the domestic capacity on Terminal 3 has been reduced due to ongoing activities to increase international passenger capacity, so this decision has been taken. The numbers of domestic flights of AI’s T2 T2 will now be of 4 digits, which will start with ‘1’ (eg AI1xxx).

Connecting flight facility between all terminals

Passengers with connecting flight will get the facility of transfer between T1, T2 and T3, and baggage will also be automatically transferred. Shuttle service will run every 10 minutes at the airport, and there will be cart facilities for special need passengers.

Passengers will be able to check the terms of terminal themselves

Passengers can check the terminal with a flight number by updating contact details in their booking. However, the ayline will also give information in advance and a reminder will be available on online check-in.

Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) is the largest airport in the country and has three terminals – Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 – and the renovated terminal 2 is scheduled to open again on 26 October.

The airline said that the terminal extension will reduce the domestic capacity of Terminal 3, which will make it necessary to transfer some domestic flights of Air India and AI Express from October 26, all international flights of AI and Air India Express will continue to operate from Terminal 3.
