Delhi HC said that the rape law is not made for cases where two adults come into their own relationship.
The Delhi High Court said that when an educated and independent woman lives in a love affair with her, despite knowing the married situation of her partner, she cannot be called misled or exploited in the law. The court made this remark dismissing the rape case against a person.
Justice Swarnakanta Sharma said- If the relationship between 2 adults breaks up later, it cannot be made a case of rape. This will be against the constitutional spirit of justice and the purpose of sexual offense law.
