The miscreants were identified as Ravindra of Rohtak and Arun of Sonipat. These were from the gang of Rohit Godara and Goldie Brar. Both had a reward of one lakh each.
According to the STF, at around 7.22 pm on Wednesday evening, they were checking in Tronica City area of Ghaziabad. Two boys appeared on the bike, who were running after seeing checking. On chase, he started firing. 4 policemen were injured after being shot. Police jeep also put 4 gun shots.
The team fired on the miscreants, saving itself. About 25 to 30 rounds were fired from both sides for 15 minutes. Arun and Ravindra were injured by a police bullet. He was rushed to the hospital, where the doctor declared him dead.
Glock, Jigana pistol and cartridges have been recovered from the spot. A white Apache is found. It is believed that this is the bike on which the crook came to Bareilly and returned after firing.
According to STF, both crooks were imprisoned in CCTV. Arun was wearing a white shirt while firing at Disha Patni’s house, Ravindra was in a blue t -shirt. Arun and Ravindra were professional shooters.
On the occasion, Additional Police Commissioner of Ghaziabad, Alok Priyadarshi, DCP Dehat Surendranath Tiwari, STF Noida Additional SP Rajkumar Mishra and Haryana STF officials are also there.
ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash said, the police encounter took place after the identification of both the miscreants. The crooks were injured, they were taken to the hospital. Where it was declared dead.
