There has been an encounter between police and Naxalites in Palamu. In this, 2 policemen have been martyred. The martyred soldiers have been identified as Santan Mehta and Sunil Ram. A young Rohit Kumar was injured in the encounter.

The encounter took place late Wednesday night in the Keedal forest of Manatu police station area. Police had received information that some Naxalites in Cedal forest were planning to carry out an incident.
The injured jawan is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
On this information, the police started a special operation. On seeing the police, the Naxalites started firing. The police also retaliated.
Some Naxalites are also reported killed in the encounter.
The injured jawan was brought to the hospital at 2 pm
The injured jawan Rohit Kumar was brought to the Medical College Hospital at 2 pm. Dr. Sushil and Dr. Praveen Siddharth’s team is treating him. Palamu’s police captain Rishma Ramshan reached the hospital and took care of the injured jawan.
Family of soldiers reached the hospital
Some Naxalites are also reported injured or killed. The police have started a search operation by siege to the entire area. SP, DSP and other police officers of Palamu have paid tribute to the martyred soldiers. The families of the martyred soldiers have been consoled.
