Bhatt filed an application in the High Court that the police came to arrest him Amidst the arrest, Ganesh Bhatt petitioned the Punjab and Haryana High Court that the Chandigarh police tried to forcibly catch him from Panchkula on the night of 14 August. He beat him up and broke the car. In this, the accused’s lawyer Nikhil K. Vashistha said that the court had ordered the Haryana DGP to investigate and settle the case.

Allegations of third degree torture Lawyer Nikhil K. Vashistha alleged that the Crime Branch tortured Ganesh Bhatt a third degree. After this, the SMO of Sector-16 got a medical board and got his medical done and sent the report to the court. According to the report, Ganesh Bhatt’s ear injuries, eyes, hands and feet swelling and bruises on the body were found. The lawyer said that he had applied in the court and said that the CCTV footage of the Sector-16 hospital should be preserved. After which he has been preserved. This will help them a lot in the case.
Arrest on August 22 on the complaint of women constable On August 22, Bhatt was arrested by the Chandigarh Police in a case of cheating of 5 lakhs from women constables. However, the Crime Branch application for taking him on remand was rejected by the district court. The court had also sought a report from the DGP as to why this case should not be removed from the crime branch and not given to another police station. The reason is that questions are being raised on the crime branch themselves – one is accused of an inspector of the crime branch in this fraud, the other, the accused Ganesh has accused the police of third degree torture and assault.
