It has Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts, where about 1.5 million people live. Every year new cracks, broken roads and boom rivers indicate disaster.
The report states that 32% of the state is medium and 46% is under low threat. That is, the entire state is in the absence of landslides. In the report presented in Parliament on landslides, GSI has collected data of 91,000 landslides.
The journey to Kedarnath Dham has also become very dangerous. In Rudraprayag district, 51 Danger Zones have been formed on the highway, 13 of which are made in monsoon this year.

The 14 reasons that create these situations 1. The rocks of the mountains are weak and broken, so they slide very quickly.
2. Due to very strong or long rains, the soil slips with water.
3. Cloud bursts and breaks heavy rain in a short time.
4. To build the road, the slope becomes unstable by cutting the mountain.
5. If the rivers cut the edge from the bottom, then the ground above collapses.
6. Throwing the debris of construction on the slope increases weight. The water path stops.
7. The forest cuts do not save the roots of trees, the grip of the soil becomes weak.
8. Frequent small earthquake or slope is loosened.
9. Snow at the height increases cracks in the rocks (cold-heat) rocks.
10. If the water of the slopes cannot flow properly, then the soil gets wet and flowed.
11. Heavy buildings, hotels and parking on the slopes without planning.
12. Due to mining, blasting and tunnel digging, the ground continues to move and break.
13. Hydropower projects change the situation of local ground water and slope.
14. Climate change has increased incidents like extreme rainfall. The slope slipping due to lack of nets on the turns.

The cloud was cracked on the night of 17 September at Nandanagar Ghat in Chamoli district. During this time more than 20 people died. Due to cloudburst, 6 houses in Nandanagar Ghat area were flooded with debris and water. 9 people died in this.
September 16- Dehradun
On September 16, the cloud was cracked in Dehradun. This broke several bridges in Dehradun district. In Maldevata, 5 people were swept away in the Song River, a tractor-trolley filled with laborers was swept away by the water flow in the Tons river in Vikas Nagar. The Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple built on the banks of the Tamsa river was flooded. The shops present here were swept away.
August 22- Tharali
On August 22, a cloud was cracked in Tharali in Chamoli district in Uttarakhand. One person was killed in this. The accident occurred between 1 to 2 pm. Two nearby villages, Sagwara and Charpad, suffered a lot of damage. There was havoc in many places within one kilometer radius of Tharali tehsil headquarters as the water level of local rivers increased rapidly.
