Political parties have received unexpected donations from 10 anonymous registered in Gujarat. These parties received a donation of ₹ 4300 crore from donors in five years of 2019-20 to 2023-24.
Interestingly, these parties fielded only 43 candidates in the three elections held in Gujarat (two Lok Sabha of 2019, 2024 and assembly of 2022) during this period and got a total of 54,069 votes.
This has been revealed by the report submitted to the Election Commission of these parties and their candidates. He said the expenditure in the election report as only ₹ 39.02 lakh, while the audit report has shown the expenditure of ₹ 3500 crore.
