Earlier, flight services from Hisar to Delhi, Ayodhya and Chandigarh have also started. Civil Aviation Minister Vipul Goyal says that a flight will be started from Hisar to Jammu and Kolkata soon after Jaipur.

Thousands of passengers from Hisar go by trains and private vehicles. People continue to come and go for treatment in Jaipur and for commercial work.

The Chief Minister announced a year ago A year ago, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini announced a flight to five places from Hisar Airport to Chandigarh, Ayodhya, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Jammu. An MoU was also signed at the PWD Rest House in Panchkula to promote air connectivity between the Department of Civil Aviation of the Government of Haryana and Alliance Air Aviation Limited.
Following this agreement, flight services from Hisar to Ayodhya, Delhi and Chandigarh have started. Flight has also been finalized for Jaipur. However, flight services for Ahmedabad and Jammu are yet to begin. The government has recently decided to run a flight for Kolkata.

- 15 August 2018: Hisar Airport was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Independence Day. He had announced that the flight of aircraft from Hisar Airport would start in 2 months. MOU was also signed with Spice Jet Airlines Company to develop the airport.
- September 2019: Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurated the air shuttle services in Hisar under the Government of India’s Regional Connectivity Scheme ‘Udaan’ (common citizen of flying country). Khattar himself left for Chandigarh on the first flight to fly from Hisar Airport. However, the flight stopped in 7 months.
- 2019: Manohar Lal laid the foundation stone of 33 KV sub station to be built at Hisar Airport while being the Chief Minister.
- 27 October 2020: The then Chief Minister Manohar Lal and Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala laid the foundation stone of the runway expansion work of Hisar Airport.
- 11 September 2023: The then Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala laid the foundation stone for the air traffic control room and terminal building of the airport in Hisar.
- 20 June 2024: Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini inaugurated several projects including 10,000 feet runway at the airport and promised that the flight to 5 states would start soon.
- 14 April 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched flights from Ayodhya and Delhi from Hisar. Also laid the foundation stone of the new terminal building.
- 9 June 2025: Chief Minister Naib Saini launched the Chandigarh airline from Hisar.
