Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi and Home Secretary Dr. Sumita Mishra had reached the official residence of IG Puran Kumar twice on Friday to meet his wife.
It has been 5 days since the suicide of Haryana IPS Y Puran Kumar. Haryana government has not been able to take a decision on removing accused Director General of Police (DGP) Shatrujit Kapoor and Rohtak SP Narendra Bijarania in this case.

Amneet P. Kumar, wife of late IPS IAS officer, has taken a clear stand on 3 demands. First, the FIR should be corrected. Secondly, DGP and SP should be removed and thirdly, they should be arrested immediately.
On Friday night at 10 pm, Home Secretary Dr. Sumita Mishra held a meeting with Puran Kumar’s wife Amneet P. Kumar. Consensus has been reached on postmortem. The family can conduct postmortem today. Puran Kumar’s deadbody is kept in the mortuary of the Government Hospital located in Sector 16.
It is not yet clear whether the postmortem will be done here or the family will get it done from PGI. This has not been officially confirmed by the family.
On the other hand, the state government has promoted two IPS officers Alok Mittal and Arshindra Chawla as DG. After this, discussion arose that by removing DGP Shatrujit Kapoor, Alok Mittal could be made the acting DGP. However, the government has not yet taken any decision on this.
Here, the opposition is also giving importance to the case. The SC cell of Congress has announced to protest across the country on this issue on Saturday.
Case has been registered against 15 officers In this case, an FIR was registered under Section 108, 3(5) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and Section 3(1)(r) of the SC/ST Act against 15 officers including Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, DGP Shatrujit Kapoor and Rohtak SP Narendra Bijarania at Sector 11 police station in Chandigarh late on Thursday night. This is the first time in the history of Haryana, a case has been registered against so many officers simultaneously.

1. DGP Kapoor’s leave discussed, 3 officers in race There was discussion regarding the leave of DGP Shatrujit Kapoor. There are speculations that one of the IPS officers OP Singh, Alok Mittal and Arshindra Singh Chawla will become DGP in their place. Its discussion also started because CM Naib Saini held a meeting with Alok Mittal late on Thursday night. He was promoted the very next day. After which Alok Mittal has become a DG rank IPS officer. This decision has been taken in view of the early retirement of OP Singh. Along with Alok Mittal, IPS Arshindra Singh Chawla has also got DG rank.
2. Objection to the absence of names of the accused in the FIR IPS Puran’s IAS wife Amneet P. Kumar has been continuously objecting to the FIR. He gave another application in this case to Chandigarh Police and said that the names of the accused officers have not been written in a separate column in the FIR. FIR should be written in fixed format. He also had a hot talk with Chandigarh SSP Kanwardeep Kaur regarding this.
3. NCSC Chairman arrived On Friday evening, National Scheduled Caste Commission (NCSC) Chairman Ashok Makwana reached the official residence of late IG Puran Kumar to meet his family. Here he talked to the family for about one and a half hours. Coming out, Ashok Makwana said that justice will be provided to the family.
