Construction is being done at a cost of 17 crores
The Energy Minister informed that the first installment of Rs 1.39 crore has been released to the CPWD. It is worth noting that the National Disease Control Center (NCDC) branch is being built at Ambala Cantonment at a cost of about Rs 17 crore.
Vij said that while the National Disease Control Center (NCDC) being constructed in Naggal of Ambala Cantonment Assembly constituency, there will be a test related to various diseases, while research related to the disease will also be done and research will benefit the people of the country and the world.
Making more than 4 acres of land
He informed that this branch is being installed on more than 4 acres of land so that research can be done on various diseases along with tests. With the opening of this branch, tests related to various diseases of seven surrounding states including Haryana will be done in this branch.
With the opening of NCDC branch in Ambala Cantonment, people of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu, Punjab, Rajasthan etc. will get the facility to conduct tests related to various diseases.
Vij said that the work of the first phase for the construction of NCDC branch has started. The lab will be built under the provisions of NCDC and CPWD is working on it. NCDC was constructed in Ambala Cantonment because Ambala is well connected to air, railway junction and road network.
Atal Cancer Care Center, Civil Hospital Ambala Cantonment and three Medical College are close to it from where regular samples can be taken in Ambala Cantonment.
